– Never operate the folding fork arms without safety markings. – Never independently modify folding fork arms. Incorrect use of the folding fork arms could lead to dangerous situations and serious injuries. Folding fork armsTypes KGA, KGI, and DuoLoc V1.07/2021...
The following therefore applies: The operator must ensure that the maintenance intervals described in this manual are adhered to. The operator must have all safety devices checked regularly for functionality and integrity. V1.07/2021 Folding fork armsTypes KGA, KGI, and DuoLoc...
– Raise the load using its entire length and distribute it evenly on both folding fork arms. Incorrect lifting of the load could cause the load to tip or slip and cause serious injuries. Folding fork armsTypes KGA, KGI, and DuoLoc V1.07/2021...
Page 13
– Always exercise caution when approaching the load to be lifted. In types KGA and KGI, the fork blade is not secured in the operating position. In case of collision, e.g., with a loading edge, the fork blade can fold up inadver- tently and therefore cause severe damage and serious injuries.

If there is no take-back agreement or disposal agreement in place, separate waste according to material and send it for recycling: Scrap metals. Send plastic elements to be recycled. Sort and dispose of the other components according to their material characteris- tics. V1.07/2021 Folding fork armsTypes KGA, KGI, and DuoLoc...
Type DuoLoc (KGA-SBO) – Folding fork arms with pin retention and outer hinge The DuoLoc (KGA-SBO) differs from the KGA and KGI in terms of how the fork blade is secured. It is not possible to push the DuoLoc pair flush together due to the external hinges.
The KGA differs from the KGI in terms of dimensions, load, and different lifting catego- ries. In spite of its smaller size, the KGA has a higher load capacity than the KGI. It is not possible to push the KGA pair flush together due to the external hinges.
Type KGI – Folding fork arms with inner hinge Type KGI – Folding fork arms with inner hinge In spite of its larger size, the KGI has a lower load capacity than the KGA. It is possible to push the KGI pair flush together.

Lock the folding fork arms by closing the lever (Fig. 13). Ensure that they are Ä Chapter 3.4 “Locking device” locked inside the locking grooves ( on page 23/5). Fit the locking screws on the fork carrier again. Lower the fork carrier to the base position. V1.07/2021 Folding fork armsTypes KGA, KGI, and DuoLoc...
Incorrect lifting of loads or loads that are too heavy could cause the load to tip or slip or, in the event of extreme overloading, the folding fork arms to break. This could cause accidents involving serious injuries. Folding fork armsTypes KGA, KGI, and DuoLoc V1.07/2021...
Operation Operating and transport position > DuoLoc (KGA-SBO) operating position Operating and transport position 5.1.1 DuoLoc (KGA-SBO) operating position The “operating position” is the condition in which the folding fork arms are folded out in order to carry out a transport task. The fork blade of the DuoLoc is firmly locked in the operating position.
Page 30
Operation Operating and transport position> DuoLoc (KGA-SBO) operating position Fig. 15: Securing the operating position Insert the locking bolt on the fork bend into the hole (Fig. 15/1). Secure the locking bolt using the locking pin with the ring (Fig. 15/2).
Operation Operating and transport position > DuoLoc (KGA-SBO) transport position 5.1.2 DuoLoc (KGA-SBO) transport position The “transport position” is the condition in which the folding fork arms are folded in for operation without a transport task. The fork blade is folded up.
