1 Description, application and working principle

Description

WARNING:
This manual is intended to give Important Information that must be followed during
Storage, Transportation, Installation, Operation and Maintenance of the Pump-Set. We therefore
recommend that this manual is read carefully before the Pump-Set is put into operation. To prevent
damage being caused by inappropriate or incorrect use, or by being used outside the normal
operating parameters of the Pump-set, the Instructions in this manual must be followed. Failure to
do so may lead to damage to or premature failure of the Pump-set and may cause Injury. Any such
actions will invalidate the warranty
The Betsy 125M is a versatile wastewater pump, which is equipped with a vacuum system and a vacuum pump for
automatic and extremely fast priming. Priming beforehand to ensure proper suction is therefore unnecessary.
Powerful suction action up to a suction head of 8 to 9 meters, or a suction length of 70 to 100 meters. All pumps
are supplied in a sound-attenuated version.
These pumps are ideal for moving sewage water and dirty liquids containing large solids. These sets are equipped
with a screw centrifugal pump. Thanks to the unique non-clogging impeller with an extremely large opening for
solids, these pump sets can handle liquids that exceed the capabilities of other pumps. Their low energy
consumption and the resulting saving in fuel costs also set them apart from other brands.
The pump set was designed for a temperature range of -5° C to +30
should be filled with 15W40 diesel engine oil.
For operation at temperatures below -15° C, the oil in the Vacuum Pump should be changed to an oil with a different
viscosity (SAE) to prevent oil flaking. The oil in the diesel engine should also be changed and the engine
manufacturers operating and maintenance manual should be consulted for details. At a temperature below -10°C
winter fuel should also be used, again refer to the engine manufacturers operating and
maintenance manual for details.
