6. DISINFECTION
Follow the steps listed below carefully in order to disinfect your nebulizer bottle
and the accessories. It is advisable to disinfect the individual components after the
last time they are used each day at the latest.
1. First clean the nebulizer bottle and the accessories as described under
"CLEANING".
2. Use one part white vinegar with three parts distilled water. Make sure mixed
solution is enough to submerge the nebulizer bottle, air tube, mouth piece
and mask.
3. Wash nebulizer bottle, mouth piece and mask in warm water and a mild deter-
gent. Then wash them in hot tap water.
4. Submerge these parts in the vinegar and water solution for thirty minutes.
5. You can also disinfect the nebulizer bottle, mouth piece, mask and air tube with
a standard vaporizer. Observe the manufacturer's instructions for use for the
vaporizer when doing this.
Note: The nebulizer bottle and mask must not be placed in boiling water!
6. Carefully dry all components using a soft cloth.
7. We recommend disinfecting the masks using a retail disinfectant.
8. Once all components are fully dry, reassemble the nebulizer bottle and place
the components in a dry, sealed container.
Note: Ensure that all parts are thoroughly dried during, and in particular after
cleaning, otherwise there is an increased risk of bacterial growth.
Place the individual components on a dry, clean and absorbent surface and allow
to dry completely (for at least 4 hours).
7. REPLACEMENT PARTS & OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
Replacement parts are available through your local retailer.
Optional accessories include child mask, nose piece, baby pacifier inhaler. The
pacifier inhaler allows baby to receive aerosol treatment easily through normal
breath. (Figure 8)
The air-flow control device can control the release of air-flow, so the medicine can
be saved when the treatment pauses (Figure 8).
