7-4. Control of Multi-disk Clutch
If the strength of power transfer by the multi-disk
clutch is weak during work, it needs to be adjusted.
If the oil surface window (no. 632 on page 48)
attached to the right-hand side top part of the
spindle box is removed, and a fastening plate
pulled toward the arrow direction and lifted to the
side, the pin

attached to the fastening plate will
be pulled out.
If the upper fastening nut
and the lower adjustment nut
the
friction
force
of
increase.
After adjusting the friction force, please fixate the
fastening plate
Ⓐ
and the pin
closest to the adjusted position.
Please adjust the multi-disk clutch to slip at the
current of the ammeter above 9A. As an exception, if
the friction force of the multi-disk clutch is adjusted
too strong, it may cause damage to the machine due
to generation of overload.

7-5. Control of Spindle Feed Safety Clutch
If adjustment of the spindle feed safety clutch is
needed, it will be carried out in the case of the
ammeter below 9A if the spindle rotates without
feeding during work.
Please adjust two nuts and assemble the cover after
is
removing the cover at the bottom-right part of the
spindle box.
If the nut is tightened too strong, it may cause
damage on the machine as the safety clutch cannot
carry out its function.
