Remove the brake pedal (C), plastic cap (D), hex bar foot end (E), and brake pedal (F) (see figure 2). Figure 2. Foot End Brake Disassembly From the head end of the bed, remove the helmut cap (G), plastic cap (H), hex bar head end (I), and helmut cap (J) (see figure 3).

Pull the central link rod (K) to access the transmission lever (L) (see figure 4). Remove the transmission lever (L), and push the back central link rod (K) inside the base frame tube (M). Figure 4. Head End Transmission Lever From the foot end of the bed, pull the central link rod (K) and remove the transmission lever bariatric (N) (see figure 5).

Rotate the central link rod (K) until the short pin (O) is pointed upwards (see figure 6). Pull the central link rod (K) out of the base frame tube. Figure 6. Foot End Central Link Rod Removal Replacement Insert the new hex bar foot end (A) until it goes through the first hole of the base frame tube (M) (see figure 7).

Install a bushing on hole (H1) using the protruding end of the hex bar foot end (A) as the guide. Install a bushing on hole (H2) (see figure 8). Figure 8. Foot End Bushing Assembly At the head end of the bed, insert new hex bar head end (C) until it goes through the first hole of the base frame tube (N) (see figure 9).

Install a bushing on hole (H3) using the protruding end of the hex bar head end (C) as the guide (see figure 10). Install a bushing on hole (H4). Figure 10. Head End Bushing Assembly Install the new central link rod (D) into the base frame tube (E) with the short pin (F) pointed upwards (see figure 11).

Install the new transmission lever (G) (see figure 12). Push the transmission lever (G) and central link rod (D) inside the base frame tube to expose the opposite end of the central link rod at the foot end of the base frame tube. Figure 12.

Position the transmission lever bariatric (J) between the bushings (see figure 14). While keeping the transmission lever bariatric (J) in the upright position, push in the hex bar foot end (A) until the leading end goes through the other caster. Figure 14.

Install helmut caps (retainers) (L1, L2) on the hex rod head end (see figure 16). Install the brake pedals (P1, P2) (torque setting at 15 ± 0.5 N-m). Figure 16. Retainers and Pedal Assembly Installation Test the brakes (brake -neutral - steer). Set the brakes to Neutral.
