HOW TO MAINTAIN THE AUTOMATIC ICE MAKER
Washing the supply channel (Ice Maker Cleaning)
● When using for the fi rst time ● When not used for more than one week
Ice tray and water supply line can be washed.
Be sure to check the followings before starting the operation.
● Water supply container
・Water is fi lled in it.
・The container is set properly as specifi ed.
● Ice case
・If there remains ice, remove it.
Go to the next step after checking them.
Lay a soft clean towel on the bottom

of the ice case.
The purpose is to absorb water discharged during
ice maker cleaning and prevent water spill.
Touch the
button and hold it for more

than 5 seconds after closing all the doors
and turning on the display.
When the three indicator lamps 急速製冰 (Quick Ice Making) , 製冰 (Ice
Making) and 停止 (Stop) start to blink and alarm starts to sound, stop
holding the button. 製冰機清潔 (Ice Maker Cleaning) starts.
About
5 seconds
・ The indicator lamp will fl ash and the buzzer will sound for about 3 minutes.
・ 製冰機清潔 (Ice Maker Cleaning) can ' t be interrupted.
・ If you open any of the refrigerator doors during Ice Maker Cleaning, the cleaning
may not work properly. Do not open or close the door until cleaning is completed.
・Door alarm sounds even if alarm is disabled.
About three minutes later, when alarm and blinking

end, remove water in the ice case using the towel.
Before removing the case, wipe
off the water in the case.
There is no problem with using water remaining
in the water supply container, if any.
Touch the
button to stop supplying water to the ice tray

and turn on the 停止 (Stop) indicator lamp. (Stop ice making)
※ If the indicator lamp
fl ashes, perform the
following operation after
the " 停止 (Stop) " lamp is
turned on in 1 minute.
Open the Ice Compartment Door.

① Push the level laterally. ② draw the frame.
③ Raise the cover ( ▲ part) in the direction of the arrow.
④ Remove the ice tray from the frame.

● When the frame for the ice tray cannot be pushed into the back, the motor that drives the ice-tray may have operated.
Remove the ice tray and then push the frame alone into the back, and then touch the

To prevent malfunction, lay the
towel so that its thickness does

Cleaning the water supply container
● Recommended maintenance intervals
Tap water
Mineral water, well water, water purifi ed by water purifi er, cooled
boiled water, etc. (water which doesn't contain chlorine)
Water which doesn't contain chlorine may easily cause slime and/or fur
compared with tap water. Wash the Water Supply Container regularly to
prevent bacteria from breeding when such water is used.
● Remove the seal from the lid and wash it with a soft wash sponge.
