HOW TO MAINTAIN THE AUTOMATIC ICE MAKER

Ice Maker
● When using for the fi rst time
Cleaning
● When not used for more than one week
Ice tray and water supply line can be washed.
Be sure to check the followings before starting the operation.
● Water supply container
・Water is fi lled in it.
・The container is set properly as
specifi ed.
● Ice case
・If there remains ice, remove it.
Go to the next step after checking them.
Push the 製冰 button and hold it for more

than 5 seconds after closing all the doors
and turning on the display.
Release the button when 大顆 / 標準 / 停止
indicator lamps fl ash and the buzzer sounds. Ice
Maker Cleaning will start.
About
5 seconds
・ The indicator lamp will fl ash and the buzzer will sound for about
3 minutes.
・ 製冰機清潔 (Ice Maker Cleaning) can ' t be interrupted.
・ Opening any door of the refrigerator during the Ice Maker
Cleaning may cause malfunction. Do not open/close any door
until Ice Maker Cleaning fi nishes.
・ Alarm will sound even after stopping the Door Alarm.
The buzzer will stop and the indicator lamp will be

turned off in about 3 minutes. After that, remove
water in the Ice case and wipe the case.
Make sure that water does not spill
out when removing the case.
There is no problem with using water remaining in the water supply
container, if any.

① Pull down the lever and ② draw the frame.
③ Raise the cover ( ▲ part) in the direction of the arrow.
④ Remove the ice tray from the frame.

● If you cannot push the frame of the ice tray into the end, the ice tray drive motor may have operated.
Remove the ice tray once and push the frame in, and wait 1 minute after closing the Ice Compartment Door.
Preparation for the ice tray drive motor fi nishes, and you can set the ice tray.

● Recommended maintenance intervals
Tap water
Mineral water, well water, water purifi ed by water
purifi er, cooled boiled water, etc. (water which doesn't
contain chlorine)
Water which doesn't contain chlorine may easily cause slime and/
or fur compared with tap water. Wash the Water Supply Container
regularly to prevent bacteria from breeding when such water is used.
● Remove the seal from the lid and wash it with a
soft wash sponge.
