Authentication Unit
After unpacking, be sure to get rid of the
packaging materials and keep them out of
the reach of children.
Putting the head in the plastic bag
involves danger of suffocation.
Note:
• The contents of this manual assume installation
to the desk DK-P02.
• This manual provides the illustrations of the
accessory parts and machine that may be
slightly different in shape from yours. In that
case, instead of the illustrations, use the
appearance of your machine to follow the
installation procedure. This does not cause any
significant change or problem with the proce-
dure.
II. Installation of the loadable device driver
Install the AU-201 loadable driver to the main unit.
1. Create a folder named [firmware] in the root
directory of the USB memory and store the
loadable driver in the folder.
2. Connect the USB memory to the USB port of the
main unit.
3. Connect the plug of the power cord into the main
unit.
4. Plug the power cord into the power outlet and
turn on the machine.
5. Display the Service Mode screen.
(For details of how to display the Service Mode
screen, see the service manual.)
6. Touch " ."
7. Touch "Loadable Driver Download."
8. Touch the file name of the driver to be installed
and touch "Execute" to start installing.
9. When the message to instruct you to restart the
machine, turn OFF the main power switch.
10. Remove the USB memory.
11. Turn ON the main power switch.

III. Installation procedures
1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord
from the power outlet.
2. Unplug the power cord from the main unit.
3. Open the packing carton and take out the acces-
sory parts.
4. Attach the supplied ferrite core to the authentica-
tion unit at the position shown in the illustration.
Note:
• Place the ferrite core approximately 60 mm
away from the authentication unit.
• Place the ferrite core such that the cable is
winded twice around the ferrite core.
5. Connect the USB cable to the main unit.
6. Set the authentication unit on the working table of
the desk.
