4.1 Intended Use The liquid-air cooler LA 5000 is used for the cooling of a liquid circuit. As a coolant water or a water/glycol mixture may be used. The coolant circulates between the cooling unit and the device to be cooled. It is re- cooled by an air-cooled heat exchanger.
The liquid temperature is controlled by an electric thermostat, whereas liquid throughput is controlled by a flow control device. Both indications are made potential-free and must be integrated into the safety circuit of the device to be cooled.
