Installation Guide SMX-AUS
3.8 Open and Short Impedance
The open test for all terminals is complete open.
The short test for all terminals is wire-to-wire short directly (Impedance ≤ 0.1 Ohm).
3.9 Earth Ground Impedance
The earth fault impedance of each connection at the SMX-AUS panel is wire-to-wire short between the earth ground and connection wire (Impedance < 0.1 Ohm).
3.10 Connecting Power Sources and Outputs
•
REMOVE ALL POWER SOURCES TO EQUIPMENT WHILE CONNECTING ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. LEAVE THE EXTERNAL, MAIN POWER
BREAKER OFF UNTIL INSTALLATION OF THE ENTIRE SYSTEM IS COMPLETE.
•
SEVERAL SOURCES OF POWER CAN BE CONNECTED TO THE CONTROL PANEL. BEFORE SERVICING THE CONTROL PANEL, DISCONNECT ALL
SOURCES OF INPUT POWER INCLUDING THE BATTERY. WHILE ENERGIZED, THE CONTROL PANEL AND THE ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT CAN BE
DAMAGED BY REMOVING AND/OR INSERTING CARDS, MODULES, OR INTERCONNECTING CABLES.
3.10.1 Overview
Complete all the mounting procedures and check all wirings before applying power. Electrical connections include the following:
Primary power source:
It is +24 V DC, delivered through a main power supply for 915-200-103 and 915-200-203.
Secondary power source:
It is +24 V DC from batteries, installed in the control panel (or in an optional battery cabinet). Secondary (battery) power is required to
support the system during loss of the primary power.
3.10.2 Checking AC Power
WHILE CHECKING AC POWER, MAKE SURE BATTERIES ARE NOT CONNECTED.
The following table consists of the components and their status when the AC power is applied to the main power supply:
Component
CPU
Main power supply

Status
The Green Power indicator LED will be on when the power is coming from the main power supply.
The Green AC indicator will be on when the AC is supplied.
