How to clean the cover

To clean the cover of the air-conditioner, dust it with
a soft, slightly dampened cloth.
To remove stains, if any, use soap water.
Never use solvents, petrol or any aggressive
chemical components, nor hot water. Do not pour
water on the unit to clean it, as it could penetrate
into the interior and damage the components.

At the end of the season

- If the air-conditioner must not operate for a long
time, after working in cooling mode, before
switching it off, it will be necessary to let it work for
a few hours in ventilation mode, after emptying the
water tank (see How to empty the water tank), so
that any remaining condense water will evaporate.
- Cut off the current by the protection switch placed
upstream and, if possible, remove the plug from the
socket.
- Clean the filter and replace it (see How to clean
the filter)
How to clean the inner battery of the air-
conditioner
This is not a standard maintenance operation,
considering that the unit was projected in such a
way
as to reduce maintenance to the minimum. Should
it be necessary to clean the inner battery, proceed
as follows: remove the unit from its housing,
after switching it off and removing the plug;
empty condense water, if any (refer to: How to
empty the water tank); with the aid of a small
flexible brush and of a vacuum cleaner through the
aspiration hole on the back of the air-conditioner,
delicately remove the solid particles from the finning
of the condensing battery, taking care not to
damage the finning.
How to replace the remote control batteries
ATTENTION
Use two 1,5 V manganese or alkaline batteries
(stilo)
R 03 AAA
To replace batteries:
- Remove the back cover of the
remote control to get to the
batteries.
- Replace the batteries taking care
to
respect the polarity indicated inside
the remote control.

IMPORTANT
- The batteries have an average life of 12 months in
normal use.
- The two batteries must be identical and must be
both replaced at the same time.
- Remove the batteries from the remote control if
you
are not going to use it for long periods.
- When the remote works only near the air-
conditioner, it is necessary to replace the batteries.
- If the remote control does not work correctly,
remove the batteries for at least one minute, then
follow the activation procedure (page 13)-
not disassemble the remote control and avoid
exposing it to the sun or to other heat sources.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

1) The air-conditioner does not switch on:
- There is no electricity
- The magneto-thermic switch is switched off or the
protection fuse is broken
- The plug is not connected
2) The air-conditioner switches on but will not
be controlled by the remote control
- Remote control batteries are worn
3) The air-conditioner only works for a short period:
- The temperature has been set too close to the
room temperature
4) The air-conditioner no longer cools adequately:
- Set temperature is too high
- The air filter is clogged
- There are obstacles to the internal and external air flow
- The windows and the doors are open, or there is
a heat source in the room
- The air-conditioner is not powerful enough for the
room
- The delivery pipe not project at least of 50mm
from the wall.
5) The air-conditioner stops and the warning led
lights up:
- Outside temperature is too high (above 43°C) or
there are obstacles to the external air flow (the led
is lighted constantly)
- During the heating, the inside temperature is too
high (over 24°C) or there are obstacles to the
external air flow (the led is lighted constantly).
- The condense water tank is full (the led blinks)
