Quick Programming Guide
USE AND MAINTENANCE
• For the safety of goods and people, Somfy motors are equipped with thermal protection that will trigger the motor stops in the event of overheating.
• If the motor goes to thermal protection, please allow 10 minutes to cool down. The motor will not operate until it has reached a safe temperature.
IMPORTANT: Upper and lower limits are set at the factory. In the event limit setting is required, follow steps to RESET MOTOR TO FACTORY MODE and proceed
with INITIAL PROGRAMMING AND LIMIT SETTING.
TO FINISH PROGRAMMING:
1) Supply power to the motor (see examples to the right). The shade will jog once.
2) Choose the transmitter you wish to control the shade and choose the appropriate channel for control.
3) PRESS & HOLD the UP and DOWN buttons on the transmitter until the shade jogs once.
4) BRIEFLY PRESS the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the transmitter. Shade will jog once.
The transmitter is now paired to the shade.
WIRING
Note: For Non-Plug / Pigtail installations, consult an electrician for power hook up compliant to local electrical codes.
• Cables which pass through a metal wall must be protected and isolated using a sheath or sleeve.
• Attach cables to prevent any contact with moving parts.
• The cable can be removed. If it is damaged, replace it with an identical cable.
• Leave the drive power supply cable accessible: it must be possible to replace it easily.
-- Switch OFF the power supply.
-- Connect the drive according to the information in the table below:
INITIAL PROGRAMMING AND LIMIT SETTING
NOTE: Motor will exit programming mode after 2 minutes of inactivity. While in programming mode, the shade only operates when the UP or DOWN buttons are continuously
pressed. Releasing the buttons stops the shade.

or DOWN buttons.

shade to the respective limit.
