2. If you are installing memory modules on the processor and memory expansion tray, do not remove the
expansion tray. Only remove the air baffle that is installed on the expansion tray.

3. If you are installing Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory modules (DCPMM) for the first time, follow the
instructions in
"DC Persistent Memory Module (DCPMM) setup" on page
Complete the following steps to install a memory module:
Step 1.
Open the memory module connector retaining clips. If a memory module is already installed in the
connector, remove it.
