Preparation
Tools and Instruments - High and Low Pressure Compound Gauge(s), Electrical Tester, General Tools
Preparation - Confirm that the system switch on the room thermostat is at the OFF position.
Pressure Gauge - Equip high and low pressure compound gauges according to Fig. 13.
Thermostat - Set the thermostat at a lower temperature than the room temperature.
Test Running
Test running should be performed as follows, when the unit is wired according to the wiring label.
1. Check to ensure that electrical resistance is more than 1 megohm by measuring the resistance
between earth and the terminal of the electrical parts.
2. Ensure that the stop valves of the outdoor unit are fully opened, and then start the unit.
3. Check that the room temperature is higher than 20° C DB and 14.0° C WB while cooling operation.
4. Switch ON the main power source.
5. Please refer to Fig. 14-1.,Fig. 14-2. for ventilation and cooling operation.
(1) Check the rotation direction of the fan, fan speed and air flow quantity through the evaporator.
(2) The compressor and condenser fans start 3 minutes after cooling operation.
6. After system operation has become stabilized, check the suction and discharge pressure on the
compound gauges. Normal operating pressures are shown in the Fig.15 "Normal Operating Pressure".
7. Check the operating voltage, phase balance and operating current.
8. Check to ensure that the thermostat functions properly.
9. Check to ensure that the control and protective devices function properly (refer to Table 4).
