REFRIGERANT PIPING
Stop Valve Construction - Stop valves shown in Fig. 12. are utilized for connection ports of the
refrigerant piping between the cooling unit and the condensing unit. Since these valves are not the back
seat type, pay attention to the following points when operating the valves.
NOTES:
1. All piping methods, including a leakage test, must comply with applicable national and local codes.
2. Do not apply force to the spindle valve when the spindle valve approaches the end of the opening.
3. If force is applied to the spindle valve after the spindle valve completely opens, the stop ring will float
and the spindle valve will come out of the valve body (for flange connection type).
4. Do not loosen the stop ring (for flare connection type).
5. Securely open the spindle valve when performing test running after refrigerant piping has been
finished. Otherwise, the unit will be damaged.
