If a Processor Unit is not configured to connect to the sonar, you must define which IP Address and Subnet mask the Ethernet adapter in the Processor Unit shall use for this communication.

    Operating procedures Choosing the sonar range function allows you to specify the maximum theoretical vertical depth and Range horizontal distance covered by the FM90i. Context The FM90i Sonar Head can operate at different predefined near and far ranges. The range value is defined from the Sonar Head. Note Even though you can choose a large range value, that does not mean that you can detect your targets on the same range.

    Simrad FM90i Reference Manual Adjusting the sonar views The FM90i offers three different sonar views: a net opening view, an up-sounder view, and down-sounder view. The sounder views are shown in windows that can be resized, docked, or floated anywhere on the display.

The software will need some time to analyze the data before drawing the lines. Note The footrope detection algorithm may not always detect the footrope correctly. Large fish schools, double echoes, proximity to the seabed, or frequent depth and height changes may cause the algorithm to detect the footrope incorrectly or fail to detect at all.

    User interface Presentation overview By default, the display presentation covers the entire screen. This FM90i screen capture shows you a typical operational situation. The presentation provides you with a lot of information.You can see several rectangular sonar views presenting sonar echo data in different ways. The top bar offers buttons for key functions.
