INITIAL STARTING PROCEDURE
Until you familiarize yourself with the use of all controls,
the following procedure may be used to standarize the in-
itial setting of controls as a reference point and to obtain
CS-1022, 1 0 2 1 , 1 0 1 2
( 1 ) NORMAL SWEEP DISPLAY OPERATION
1. Turn the POWER control
supply will be turned on and the pilot lamp will light.
Set these modes as follows;

2. The trace will appear in the center of the CRT display
and can be adjusted by the CH1 • POSITION ©

3. Vertical Modes

similar to the above procedure.
In the ADD mode, the algebraic sum of CH1 + C H 2 is

same VOLTS/DIV, the sum or difference can be read
directly in VOLTS/DIV from the CRT. In the ALT mode,

4. If no trace is obtainable, refer to the following TRIGGER-
ING procedures.
The display on the screen will probably be unsynchroniz-
ed.
Refer to TRIGGERING procedures below adjusting syn-
chronization and sweep speed to obtain a stable display
showing the desired number of waveforms.

The input signal must be properly triggered for stable
waveform observation. TRIGGERING is possible the input
