RAID controller card

The RAID Controller Card is a 3ware 9650SE-16ML plug-
in board that provides hardware control of the Media
RAID.
It is physically located in PCI express slot 5 of the
Motherboard.
Jumpers and indicators
Connections for this plug-in board are located along the
bottom edge of the board, which directly mates with the
PCI slot 5 of the Motherboard.
In addition, at the opposite end to the metal mounting
panel there are connectors which mate with the eight S-
ATA cables carrying signals to and from the Media RAID
Backplane Boards.
Drive Activity LED Indicators
Overall LED drive status indicator is the right-most LED
header pin pair on each LED connector (J7, J8, J9, J1). The
anode is the lower of the two pins and the cathode is the
upper.
• J7 is for drives 0, 1, 2, 3 (left-to-right).
• J8 is for drives 4, 5, 6, 7 (left-to-right).
• J9 is for drives 8, 9, 10, 11 (left-to-right).
• J1 is for drives 12, 13, 14, 15 (left-to-right).

NIC card

The NIC Card is a Intel Pro/1000 PT Dual plug-in board
the provides a Gigabit Ethernet interface for the server.
It is physically located in PCI slot 3 of the Motherboard.
Two Ethernet ports are provided on the metal mounting
panel, but only the upper one is used. The lower one is not
used. See "Connector pinouts" on page 24 for connector
details.
