Push back and secure the moving swing
guard hood (16) using the lever for the swing
guard hood (15).
Press the spindle lock (7).
Use the saw blade key (5) to undo the screw
holding the saw blade (18).
Remove the flange (19) and the saw blade /
cutting wheel (12) in downwards direction.
Clean the flange and insert a new saw blade
/ cutting wheel. Pay attention to the running
direction (see arrow on the guard hood and
saw blade / cutting wheel).
Tighten the screw to secure the saw blade
(18) and check that the blade runs true.
Before you press the On/Off switch, make
sure that the saw blade / cutting wheel is cor-
rectly fitted, that moving parts run smoothly,
and that the clamping screws are tightened
securely.
6.5 Laser function (Fig. 9-10)
You can switch the laser (9) on and off with
the switch (a). (See Fig. 9)
The laser directs a beam onto the workpiece.
With the laser function you can make cuts of
the highest precision.
The laser beam can be affected by deposits
of dust and chips. The emission aperture of
the laser beam must therefore be cleaned
each time after use.
Always switch off the laser when not in use.
Replacing the battery
Make sure that the laser is switched off .
To reach the battery compartment cover (b)
you must set the universal hand-held circular
saw to the lowest cutting depth (see section
5.1)
To remove the battery compartment cover
(b), undo the screw with a screwdriver. (See
Fig. 10)
Remove the old batteries and insert new ones
(2 x 1.5 AAA).
Make sure that the battery terminals are posi-
tioned correctly when inserting the new batte-
ries (see the battery compartment cover).
Close the battery compartment again.

7. Replacing the power cable

If the power cable for this equipment is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
after-sales service or similarly trained personnel
to avoid danger.
8. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts
Always pull out the mains power plug before star-
ting any cleaning work.
8.1 Cleaning
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean
cloth or blow it with compressed air at low
pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device
immediately each time you have finished
using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these could at-
tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensu-
re that no water can seep into the device. The
ingress of water into an electric tool increases
the risk of an electric shock.
8.2 Carbon brushes
In case of excessive sparking, have the carbon
brushes checked only by a qualifi ed electrician.
Important! The carbon brushes should not be rep
laced by anyone but a qualifi ed electrician.
8.3 Maintenance
There are no parts inside the equipment which
require additional maintenance.
8.4 Ordering replacement parts:
