Using the Flash

When the camera is turned on, the flash setting defaults to

Auto Flash with Red-eye
reduction Minimizes the occurrence of
red-eye in photos of people or animals.
The flash goes off twice—once to
condition the subject's eyes for the flash,
and a second time to take the photo.
Fill Flash Set the flash to Fill when the
lighting for the entire photo is sufficient,
but the lighting for the subject is not, as
in a backlighting situation.
