14. Troubleshooting

The clear water pump you have purchased is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is safe to operate.
Nevertheless, problems and faults might occur. Therefore, we would like to describe here how to eliminate possible
faults:
Take note of all the safety instructions in these operating instructions!
Problem
Pump does not draw
Pump does not run or stops during
operation
Pumped liquid is low
Float switch does not release
28
Solution
• Open stop valve on the pressure side, as air cannot escape
• Clean suction opening (disconnect the pump from the mains
voltage first!)
• Water height too low (min. height approx. 5cm), only air is sucked
• Control power supply
• Pump wheel in the inside of the pump is blocked by dirt (discon-
nect the pump from the mains voltage, remove hose and rinse the
inside of the pump; see chapter 12)
• Control suction holes
• Pump sucks air as the suction openings are not completely under
water any more
• Place the pump vertically as otherwise the float switch inside the
water pump gets jammed
• Clean suction holes (disconnect the pump from the mains voltage
first!)
