5. Tilt the drive cage to its upright position.
6. Lift the two green levers on the top of the expansion card
cage to their upright position to electrically disconnect it
from the system board. (This is service position 1 for Intel
820 chipset–based models).
7. Raise the expansion card cage away from the system
board. (The built-in catch on Intel 820 chipset–based
models secures the cage and prevents it from damaging
components on the system board. This is service
position 2.)
Raising the Expansion Card Cage
To reconnect the expansion card cage to the system
board, first ensure that the system board is completely
installed in the chassis. Slightly lift the expansion card
cage and release the built-in catch to lower it into service
position 1 (Intel 820 chipset–based models only); then,
rotate the levers to their original positions to lock the
assembly in place.
