Full Restore

Full Restore returns your computer to its original factory-installed software state.
It reformats your C: drive and removes all data from your computer.

To perform a Full Restore on your computer, complete the following steps:

Once the Full Restore is complete, you may be prompted to provide the startup
information again to re-install Windows.
Understanding Your Service and Support Tools
CAUTION:
Full Restore deletes all the information and data stored on your computer's C:
drive. If you have added personal files, software, or data since you purchased your computer,
copy this data to diskettes, back up the data by performing a System Save, or save the data
to an external device before proceeding.
From the Windows desktop, double-click the Compaq Support
Click the QuickRestore
Click the Full Restore button. The Full Restore menu is displayed.
CAUTION:
If you have not copied or backed up your personal files, software, or other data
onto diskettes, they will be permanently deleted when you click Continue.
Click Continue to begin the Full Restore. Your computer automatically restarts
in DOS mode.
When prompted, press Enter to continue. During the Full Restore process, a
progress bar shows the percentage of the software restored to the hard drive.
When the Full Restore has finished, the system reboots automatically.
