1 GENERAL Accessories Bariatric Digital Scale WARNING DO NOT install or use this equipment without first reading and understanding these instructions. Installing the Digital Scale Please see illustration on page 5. WARNING Patient and sling must be removed from the lift during all installation procedures. Install the Ring to the arm lift, by attaching the bolt, washer and nut. Install the scale to the ring, by attaching the bolt, washer and nut. Install the arm crossbar to the scale, by attaching the bolt, washer and nut.

Operations Power On/Off Press for 1 second to power-on scale. Scale performs initialization and power-on test, shows twice, then capacity shows, battery life percentage shows, weight detection shows and then auto zero. For information about Auto-Zero, refer to Scale Configuration in Technical Manual. Press for 1s to power-off scale.

User Setup Press at the same time for 1 second to enter User Setup menu. shows. Auto-Off Timing Press to enter Auto-Off Timing. shows. Press to change timing value. Auto-Off Timing can be set to: (disabled), (5min), (10min), (15min), (30min), (60min).
DO NOT operate key strokes with pointed objects (e.g. pencils, pens, fingernails, etc.) Otherwise damage to the key pad will result. Attach sling straps to the hangar bar. For proper attachment instructions refer to Attaching a Sling on page 21 in Medacure’s Patient Lift Instruction Manual.
Should it be necessary to unlock the weight while the patient is still supported by the lift, the UNLOCK button may be pressed. The weight will unlock and the word “LOCK” will disappear from the display window. The weight value will then be updated. Once the weight becomes stable the weight can be locked again by pressing the LOCK button.
