Installing Pointsec PC for
Administrators
This chapter documents how to install Pointsec PC for use by Pointsec PC
administrators, a so called 'master installation'.
The installation process can be divided into four phases:

Installing Pointsec PC on Windows Vista

The installation of Pointsec PC on Windows Vista follows the same steps as the
installations on Windows 2000 or Windows XP with one important difference. The
Pointsec PC installation on Vista must be run with administrator's rights in order to
install a special driver.

Note - The relevant version of Microsoft .NET Framework is required
to be able to use the Pointsec PC Management Console (PCMC) on
a machine. See the Release Notes for the relevant version or
versions. If, however, the PCMC will not be used on a machine, it is
not required to install .NET on that machine.
