Table 1-6
Central Log Transfer Settings
Setting
CentralLogRetryCount=
LogTransfer=
MaxLogTransferSize=
Description
Max retry attempts before retries are cancelled this cycle.
Minimum value = 0
Maximum value = 10
This setting determines whether or not Windows log
transfer process is enabled.
The possible values are:
0=Do not transfer the log file to Windows Event log.
1=Transfer the log file to Windows Event log.
Specifies the maximum size of the segments of the local
log file that are transferred to the central log in one
transfer. The value assigned to this setting is expressed as
an integer that represents the maximum number of
kilobytes (1 KB = 1024 bytes) of data transferred.
The default value is 10 KB.
If, for example, the MaxLogTransferSize was set to 2 KB,
and there was 5 KB of log data to transfer, the system
would transfer the first (earliest) 2 KB of whole log entries
first, then it would transfer the next 2 KB of whole log
entries, and finally it would transfer the remaining 1 KB of
whole log entries. Because only whole log entries are
transferred, the transfers might not be exactly 2 KB, but
they will not be more than 2 KB.
