w This equipment is intended for household use only, not for
commercial or industrial use.
w Please follow all the requirements of this guide.
w Do not use the appliance if it has mechanical defects (dents,
cracks etc.), get it checked by the nearest authorized service
center.
w To avoid mechanical defects and damage, take care during
the appliance transportation.
SPECIAL SAFETY MEASURES
w Do not leave the hot iron in a horizontal posi-
tion: place it upright on a heat resistant sur-
face.
w The iron gets hot when in operation: any skin
contact with metal surfaces, vapor or water
may result in burns.
w During operation of the appliance keep children
away from it especially when steam ironing.
w Never iron or steam iron articles being worn by a person.
w Avoid any contacts between the sole plate and plastic fittings
of an article: buttons, zippers, labels, etc.
w Always disconnect the iron from the mains when filling or drain-
ing the water tank.
w Store the iron in a vertical position to avoid damaging the sole
plate.
w The iron should always be connected to a grounded main
electricity supply.
