2. SOFTWARE VERSION UPGRADE METHOD

This Remote Control Unit (AJ-RC905) uses built-in Flash ROM Microcomputer (IC6) on the Front Board.
At the time of a version upgrade, use the special tool, cable and software as shown in paragraph 1.
1. Connect the flat (ribbon) cable (VWJ20E5500L00) between P1 connector on the Front Board in the AJ-RC905
and Intermediate Board (VFK1726), and then connect the cable from the FLASH 1 Version-up Tool to the
Intermediate Board as shown in figure 1.
2. Connect a D-SUB 25-pin / 9-pin Cable (Straight type) between the COM port (1 or 2) on the PC and RS-232C
connector on the FLASH Memory Version-up Tool (FLASH1) as shown figure 2.
3. Set the all pins of SW3 on the Front Board as shown in figure 2 to the OFF position.
4. Turn ON the power of the AJ-RC905 and then boot up the PC (Windows
5. Install the Version-up Software "Flash1 for windows software" to the PC from the CD-ROM which enclosed in
the FLASH Memory Version-up Tool.
Refer to the enclosed Operating Instruction for more details of software installation.
6. Execute the "Flash1 for windows" as the following steps.
( "Start" → "Program" → "Hokuto Denshi" → Flash1 for Windows" )
