Put the transmission in neutral or apply the
clutch lever, then push the start switch.
Oil level indicator light
comes on.
Engine oil level and
electrical circuit are OK.
Go ahead with riding.

Oil level indicator circuit check

Turn the main switch to "ON".
Turn the engine stop switch to "
Wait a few seconds (see NOTE).
Oil level indicator light
goes off.
Oil level indicator light
still does not come on.
NOTE:
When the main switch is turned on, the oil level indicator

light will come on for a few seconds and then go off. If the
indicator light does not come on, ask a Yamaha dealer to in-
spect the electrical circuit.
Oil level indicator light
remains on.
Check engine oil level.
Oil level
is OK.
Ask a Yamaha dealer to
inspect electrical circuit.
