S0 Number of rings before the modem auto-answers a call (0 means auto-
answer is disabled and manual answer is in effect)
S1 Counts and logs the number of rings
S2 Designates the ASCII character used to indicate an escape character
S3 Designates the ASCII character used for carriage returns
S4 Designates the ASCII character used for line feeds
S5 Designates the ASCII character used for backspaces
S6 Dial tone wait time; if AT command X is set to X2 or X4, the modem
ignores this register and dials as soon as it detects a dial tone (seconds)
