Firmware Update

To update:
1. Take a USB flash drive with at least 40 MB of free
space available and create a folder called "Fluke1730"
(no spaces in file name).
Make sure the USB is formatted with FAT or
FAT32 file system.
In Windows USB flash drives ≥32GB can be formatted
with FAT/FAT32 only by using 3rd party tools.
2. Copy the firmware file (*.bin) into this folder.
3. Make sure the Logger is powered from mains and
operating.
4. Plug the flash drive into the Logger. The USB Transfer
screen pops up and offers the firmware update.
5. Push  to select the firmware update and push .
6. Follow the instructions. When the firmware update is
complete the Logger reboots automatically.
A firmware update deletes all user data such as
measurement data and screen captures.

This firmware update works only when the firmware
version on the USB flash drive is newer than the installed
version.
To install the same version or an older version:
1. Go to Memory/Settings menu.
2. Push  or Instrument Settings.
3. Push  or Tools.
4. Select Update firmware and follow the on-screen
instructions.
If more than one firmware file (*.bin) is located in
the \Fluke1730 folder, the newest version is used
for the update.

To find the firmware version installed on your Logger:
1. Go to Memory/Settings menu.
2. Push  or Instrument Settings.
3. Push  or Tools.
4. Push  to highlight or touch Instrument

5. Push  to exit the screen.
