It is, therefore, the policy of Comba whereby faulty units or modules are returned to the local agent for repair.

    External Power Figure 2: SR-1910 functional block diagram In downlink, the BTS signals are received by donor antenna of the repeater. After the duplexer, the signals are sent to the LNA for pre-amplification, followed by band filtering through the Frequency Selection (FS) Module.

    INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR SR-1910 2.2 GENERAL APPLICATIONS Centralized Control and Monitoring Centralized control and monitoring is applicable for indoor systems employing several indoor repeaters. For remote control and monitoring, the operating status of each remotely connected slave repeater can be monitored by the OMC through the Master Unit (with integrated wireless modem).

    INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR SR-1910 3.2 SITE PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS Site Considerations The repeater is designed for indoor / sheltered outdoor installation and operation. Installation Location Mounting surface shall be capable of supporting the weight of the equipment. In order to avoid electromagnetic interference, a proper mounting location must be selected to minimize interference from electromagnetic sources such as large electrical equipment.

Ensure unrestricted airflow. • Ensure earthing point is within reach of the ground wire. • Ensure a power source is within reach of the power cord. And the power source has sufficient capacity (about 3.15A for AC).

    INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR SR-1910 3.5 EQUIPMENT CONNECTIONS 3.5.1 GROUNDING CONNECTION Ground connection To ensure safe operation of the product, a ground (earth) connection is required. For single phase AC power source, the product must be grounded by connecting the “earth wire” of the power cord to the ground terminal of the AC supply.

    INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR SR-1910 3.5.5 PHYSICAL CONNECTION TO OMT PC The local commissioning and management of the SR-1910 can be achieved by local connection of the equipment to the OMT PC. To establish the connection between the OMT and the equipment, connect the RS-232 port located on the bottom of the enclosure of the Master Unit or Slave Unit to the serial port of the OMT PC using the supplied RS-232 cable.

    INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR SR-1910 3.6 PREPARATION FOR REMOTE CONTROL OF EQUIPMENT USING WIRELESS MODEM Wireless Modem For the equipment variant equipped with wireless modem, the modem provides the option of remote connection of the equipment via the OMT. The wireless (GSM) modem implements the link for data and SMS functions.

    INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR SR-1910 4 COMMISSIONING 4.1 PRE-COMMISSIONING TASKS After equipment installation, perform the following steps before equipment power up and commissioning. Verify the incoming power source voltage, current, and power levels do not violate any ratings. Double check all connections before applying power. Do not manipulate circuits or make changes with power applied.
