NOTICE
If the service display appears
more than one month before the
service date, the date stored in
the instrument cluster must be
set. This situation may occur if
the battery is disconnected from
the vehicle for a long time.
Please contact a specialist work-
shop to set the date, preferably
an authorized BMW Motorrad
Retailer.
Fuel down to reserve
General warning light lights
up yellow.
FUEL! is displayed.
WARNING
Rough engine running or
switching off of the engine
due to a fuel shortage
Accident hazard, damage to cat-
alytic converter
Do not drive to the extent that
the fuel tank is completely
empty.
Possible cause:
At the most, the fuel tank still
contains the reserve fuel quantity.
Fuel reserve
Approx. 1.1 gal (Approx. 4 l)
Refueling ( 85).
Cruising range
The RANGE cruising range 1 in-
dicates the distance that can still
be driven with the remaining fuel.
This distance is calculated based
on fuel quantity and average con-
sumption.
If the motorcycle is standing
on its side stand, the motor-
cycle's inclined position will
prevent the fuel level from be-
ing registered accurately. For
this reason travel range is only
calculated with the side stand
retracted.
