Turning the phantom power on or off (Phantom)

When you use a microphone which requires the phantom power, use this menu item to turn
the phantom power on.
In the following description, it is assumed that the FR-2LE is in the MENU mode and the main
menu screen is shown ("File >" is highlighted).
This menu item can be set in the quick setup mode (see page 55).

<Notes on using the phantom power>
• The phantom power is supplied only to the [ANALOG IN] XLR connectors.
• When you use a condenser microphone, make sure that it can be used with the
phantom power.
• Turn on the phantom power after you connect the microphone(s) to the
[ANALOG IN] connector(s).
• When you turn on or off the phantom power or when you plug or unplug a
microphone to or from the [ANALOG IN] connector, turn down the recording level or
[MONITOR] level controls.

Use the [+] or [-] key to select "Setup >" and press the [MENU/ENTER] key.
The display now shows the Setup menu.

Use the [+] or [-] key to select "Phantom >" and press the [MENU/ENTER] key.
The current setting starts flashing and you can now change the setting (by default, "Off" is
selected).
You can select either of the following options.
Off (default)
The phantom power is not supplied.
On
The phantom power is supplied to the [ANALOG IN] XLR connectors.
The phantom power setting is effective both to the left and right channels.

Use the [+] or [-] key to select "On" or "Off" and press the [MENU/ENTER] key.
You completes the setting and the display changes to show the previous screen.

Press the [STOP/CANCEL] key to exit the MENU mode.
