backplane board
may be loose, pre-
venting the firm-
ware from
downloading during
system start-up.
The secondary
microprocessor
guide bracket
assembly is empty.

Check the keyboard
cable and connector
for proper connection.
If the problem per-
sists, run the Key-
board Test Group in
the system diagnos-
tics to determine
whether the keyboard
or keyboard controller
is faulty.
Replace one of the
microprocessors so
that the cache size of
the two microproces-
sors matches.
Insert a diskette or
CD with a bootable
operating system, or
load a bootable oper-
ating system on the
hard-disk drive. Run
the System Set Test
Group to determine
whether the micropro-
cessor chip is faulty.
Check the server-
management bus
cable connections to
the system board
(labeled "SMB
BACKPLANE") and
SCSI backplane board
(labeled "SERVER
MANAGEMENT").
Install a terminator
card in the empty
guide bracket assem-
bly.
