6.2 Appliance 7. Warranty Preface DRU, a manufacturer of gas-fired heating appliances, develops and produces pro- ducts that comply with the highest quality, performance and safety requirements. This will enable you to enjoy using this product for many years to come.
I ntroduction Your appliance can possibly be supplied in two versions; in addition to the standard model DRU can also supply a tunnel model. The standard model is always mounted against a wall. The tunnel model (look-through appliance) has a pane at both the front and back. It can be used as a separator between two living rooms.

u s e r m a n u a l 4. C ontrol The appliance is supplied with a remote control. Ignition, controlling the flame height and switching off are performed by the remote control that ope- rates a receiver in the control hatch. For some appliances, no control hatch is supplied.

u s e r m a n u a l 4.2.1 Setting the communication code Prior to putting the application into operation, a communication code must be set between the remote con- trol and the receiver. The code is cho- sen randomly from the 65000 availa- ble codes.

u s e r m a n u a l 4.2.2.2 Flame height / standby By means of the button (large flame), the appliance always switches to full position. Also when igniting the appliance, the full position is automatically activated. The flame height is therefore always controlled by means of the button (small flame).

u s e r m a n u a l 4.2.5 Thermostat function Using the thermostat function you can set two temperatures, which can be controlled thermostatically. These temperatures are referred to as day tempe- rature and night temperature. TEMP and • TEMP symbols on the display refer to day and night temperature respectively.

u s e r m a n u a l 4.2.6 Timer for thermostat function Using the timer enables you to set two times per 24 hours for switching on the day temperature and two times per 24 hours for switching on the night temperature.
u s e r m a n u a l 4.2.7 Automatic shut-off after 5 days This function prevents consumption of gas energy in case of long-term non- activity. The system will automatically shut off the pilot flame when the appli- ance has not been active for a period of 5 days. 4.2.8 Replacing the battery If the battery is almost empty, the display will show “BATT”.
Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the glass pane(s) on both ➠ sides using the DRU spray (1) followed by the DRU glass pane cleaner (2). (see user instruction DRU spray (1) and DRU glass pane cleaner (2)) When igniting for the first time, combustion products are released from the appliance that could cause a white deposit on the glass pane(s).

Shake well prior to use. ➠ !Caution The glass pane(s) to be cleaned must have cooled down to room temperature. Apply a limited amount of DRU glass pane cleaner to a slightly moist microfibre ➠ cloth. !Caution The cloth should not be too wet! Rub DRU glass pane cleaner over the entire glass pane(s).
u s e r m a n u a l 6. E nvironment 6.1 General Packaging materials must be disposed off in accordance with the regulations. Batteries are considered as small chemical waste and should be placed in special containers. 6.2 Appliance When the appliance has reached the end of its life, you should have it proces- sed sensibly, so that the appliance or parts of it can be used again.
W arranty The warranty for your DRU appliance will be provided by your supplier. In case of complaints, you must always contact him. Your supplier will contact DRU if he feels this is necessary. The factory warranty is valid for 2 years after date...
