ipif <ipif_name 12>
Used to configure RIP on the switch.
config rip [ipif <ipif_name 12>/all] rx_mode
[[disable/v1_only]/[v2_only/v1_or_v2] authentication
[enabled/disabled] <password>]
This command is used to configure RIP on the switch.
<ipif_name 12> − The name of the IP interface.
all – To configure all RIP receiving mode for all IP interfaces.
rx_mode − Determines how received RIP packets will be interpreted –
as RIP version V1 only, V2 Only, or V1 Compatible (V1 and V2). This
entry specifies which version of the RIP protocol will be used to receive
RIP packets. The Disabled entry prevents the reception of RIP packets.
disable − Prevents the reception of RIP packets.
v1_only − Specifies that only RIP v1 packets will be accepted.
v2_only − Specifies that only RIP v2 packets will be accepted.
v1_or_v2 − Specifies that RIP v1 or v2 packets will be accepted.
authentication [enabled/disabled] − Enables or disables authentication
for RIP on the switch.
<password> − Allows the specification of a case-sensitive password.
state [enabled/disabled] − Allows RIP to be enabled and disabled on the
switch.
Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
