3. Safety instructions

The following safety instructions must be read completely and carefully prior to installing the mount
and kept in a safe place near the device afterwards. Reading the assembly manual does not replace
the knowledge and observance of all valid local safety rules and regulations. Persons entrusted with
the assembly must be properly trained and work with appropriate personal protective equipment.
Furthermore, the entrusted persons are responsible for and must ensure the safe assembly and use
of the accessories to be mounted (mount and loudspeakers).
DANGER
• Power and signal cables must never be used for suspending, anchoring or securing loudspeakers.
• In order to guarantee safe operation of the products, only use the mount for installing the
products for which it is intended.
WARNING
• When attaching the mount to another mount or device, the latter must be checked for its
load-bearing capacity, stability and type. The VESA monitor mount to be used must be selected
by the person assembling the system to carry the additional load resulting from the VSM / VSM
XL loudspeaker mount including the loudspeakers in accordance with the applicable safety regu-
lations.
• Only the original parts delivered by Pan Acoustics may be used for mounting and assembling
the VSM / VSM XL loudspeaker mount. The use of other parts, in particular parts from unknown
or third-party manufacturers, is prohibited.
• It has to be ensured that all attachment and fastening materials comply with the applicable
safety guidelines and are suffi ciently dimensioned.
• It has to be ensured that all connections are secured against self-loosening and are friction-
locking and form-fi tting.
• Users must comply with all applicable safety requirements and legal regulations.
• The loudspeaker accessory must not be used for lifting, lowering or securing people or other
objects.
• It is recommended to use an additional securing element to secure each suspended loudspeak-
er against falling if the type of mounting and safety require it.
• In general, a visual inspection of the loudspeaker and the accessory must be performed prior
to each use/assembly. If there are signs of wear, cracks or deformation, they must be replaced
immediately. The visual inspection also includes checking the screw connections on load-bearing
parts of the loudspeaker and the accessory.
