Poor blade tension.
Blade is dull.
Improper blade for cutting operation.
Downfeed rate too fast.
Blade tension too low.

Incorrect blade speed or downfeed rate.
Workpiece loose in vise.
Blade rubs on wheel flange.
Teeth too coarse for material.
Teeth in contact with workpiece before
saw is started.
Blade guides are misaligned.
Blade too thick for wheel diameter.
Cracking at weld; poor annealing of blade.

Inadequate downfeed rate.

Decrease feed pressure.

Re-adjust guide assemblies.
Check positioning and clamping in the
vise.
Check and correct if needed.
Replace blade.
Check Machinery's Handbook for blade
recommendations.
Reduce downfeed rate.
Increase blade tension.
Adjust blade tension.
Adjust accordingly.
Clamp workpiece securely.
Adjust blade tracking.
Use appropriate blade for material being
