Adjusting the Handset Ringer, Earpiece and
Speaker Volume
Handset ringer volume
Press the volume up key or volume down key (labeled as
vol/∧ or
/vol/∨ in standby mode to select one of three
ringer volume (off, low, or high).
Earpiece and speaker volume
Pressing the volume up key or volume down key (labeled as
/vol/∧ or
/vol/∨ key) during a call will change the
earpiece volume of the handset. This setting will remain in
effect after the telephone call has ended.
When you press volume up key (ring/vol/∧) in the maximum volume level or volume down key
(ring/vol/∨) in the lowest volume level, an error tone sounds.
Ringer Mute
You can temporarily mute the incoming ring. When the handset is off the cradle and the
phone is ringing, press end. The incoming ring will return to the previous setting starting
with the next incoming call.
