CAUTION
The auxiliary battery is temporarily used
to retain data while the main battery is
being replaced. The life of the auxiliary
battery may be shortened if the iPAD is
left with only the auxiliary battery
installed.
Do not leave the iPAD in a state with the
main battery removed.
For Reference
The following are the guidelines for the retention
of data in memory while the iPAD is off (suspend
mode):
If both the main and auxiliary batteries
are fully charged: About 1 month
If the main battery is in the alarm state
and the auxiliary battery is fully charged:
About 3 days
The usage environment may affect these
estimates.
