Why Restrict Background Data?
When you're actively using an app on your Galaxy Note 4 via the cellular connection, it's usually
obvious when it's transferring data.
Apps can also transfer data in the background. For example, your email apps typically continue
to download new messages when they're in the background, or the Settings app may download
updates that have become available.
Background data transfer is usually helpful, but it can add up to a considerable power drain on
your device's battery. So when you need to eke out battery life, it is a good idea to restrict
background data transfer.
7. Tap the OK button to close the dialog. The Restrict Background Data check box is now checked.
8. Tap Restrict Performance to display the Restrict Performance screen.
