mode, you can wave the Galaxy Note 4 in approximately the right direction and have Camera
shoot when your face is in the frame you have sized and positioned. This feature gets top marks
for ingenuity and is pretty effective if you can compose your features while positioning the
Galaxy Note 4.
Selective Focus helps you to make your subject stand out from the background. The subject must
be positioned close to the lens (Samsung recommends within 18 inches) and at least three times
as far from the background (say, five feet for that 18 inches). As you take the photo, you move
the Galaxy Note 4 up to help Camera establish the relative distance of the objects.
Virtual Tour enables you to make a walkthrough of a location. This mode works surprisingly well
but benefits from a device to steady the Galaxy Note 4, such as a monopod or a Steadicam rig.
View the Photos You Take
After taking photos, you can quickly view the ones you have taken, mark them as favorites, share them
with other people, or simply delete them.
1. In the Camera app, tap the thumbnail to view the last photo you took.
Zooming In and Out on Your Photos
When viewing a photo, you can zoom in by placing two fingers on the screen and pinching
outward or by double-tapping on the area you want to expand. Pinch inward or double-tap again
to zoom back out.
2. Tap to display the onscreen controls and the row of thumbnails. They disappear after a few
seconds of not being used.
3. Tap the Edit icon to edit the photo. You can rotate it, crop it, apply a color filter, apply an effect,
or take other actions.
4. Tap a thumbnail to display its photo; scroll the thumbnails first if necessary. You can also swipe
left from the photo displayed; after that, you can swipe either left or right.
