General information and system limitations
Attention
The front surface of the front and rear radar
sensors (1, Fig 2) must not be covered with stickers,
painted, or obstructed in any way as this will prevent
the radar sensor's functionality from working
properly. It is advisable to always check that the radar
field of view is clear before driving off. The
modifications to the front of the motorcycle may
also affect the sensor's performance.
Attention
The radar sensor has a limited range as well as
technological limitations that may not allow
detection of vehicles ahead of the motorcycle. In
general, in some scenarios, the ACC function may
behave differently than the rider would expect. The
following is a list of some, but not all, of the ACC's
limitations:
the system is not able to detect stationary

vehicles (see paragraph "stationary vehicles").
vehicles driving ahead can only be detected
●
when they are within sensor range and only if
they are classified as targets.

the system has a limited ability to detect

vehicles that are a short distance ahead, off to
the side of the motorcycle or moving into the
rider's lane. A vehicle that is entering the
motorcycle's lane can be detected by the system
only if it is in the sensor range and classified as
target. In such situations, it is possible that the
system may not react in time or may not react at
all.
the system is not always able to detect vehicles
