    Each station must be home run to the interface module using shielded 22 gauge, 4 conductor wire. The station can be used to sound the doorbell chime on interior audio stations. A relay is included so the normal doorbell can be used, instead of the one integral to the PC5928 module. PC5904 Central Station Talk/Listen Module The PC5904 Interior Central Station Talk Listen module is used in conjunction with the PC5928 audio interface module for Talk/Listen-In purposes.

    Getting Started Installation Steps The following steps are provided to assist with the installation of the PC5928 Audio Interface module. It is suggested that you read this section briefly to get an overall understanding of the order of installation. Once this is done carefully work through each step.

    PC5928 module (yellow - speaker, green - microphone). Connect the drain wire of the shield to the COM terminal on the PC5928 module or the black terminal of the station (make sure the drain wire of the shield does not short anything on the back of the board), but not both.

    Page and the person who answered. No other station will transmit the conversation. The PC5928 auto detects the source of the loudest voice and uses this to control the direction of conversation.

    The station will be put in Do Not Disturb mode and the Do Not Disturb light will flash. The PC5928 will transmit all sounds heard from the station to all the other stations on the system, except for those on Do Not Disturb.

    Talk/Listen-In will be initiated when the panel is disarmed after an alarm condition (Opening After Alarm) if the Opening After Alarm option is enabled. If the Listen To All Stations option is enabled the PC5928 will turn on all stations instead of just the one closest to the zone or keypad.

    When the panel transmits a reporting code to central station and Talk/Listen-In is initiated, the panel will pass the phone line to the PC5928 for Talk/Listen-In. The PC5928 will then turn on the closest station to the alarm or if the Listen to All Stations option is enabled, all stations will turn on.

    Listen To All When the PC5928 enters the Talk/Listen-In mode, it can be programmed to initiate in one of two ways. If the Listen “To All stations While On Line” option is enabled, all stations will turn on. If the option is disabled, only the stations that are in alarm will turn on. This option only affects how the PC5928 initiates the Talk/Listen-In session.
