Lifting & Placing
Straining or crushing injury
may occur from improperly
lifting machine or some of
its parts. To reduce this risk,
get help from other people
and use a forklift (or other
lifting equipment) rated for
weight of this machine.
To lift and place this mill:
1.
After removing the crate from the shipping
pallet, wrap lifting straps around the turret,
as shown in Figure 13, and securely attach
them to your power lifting equipment.

Use a

" wrench to unbolt the mill from the

pallet.
3.
With assistance to steady the machine, move
it as close to the prepared location as pos-
sible.
4.
Lift it just enough to clear the pallet and any
floor obstacles, then situate it in its final posi-
tion.
5.
When mounting the machine to the floor, use
a precision level to make sure the table is
level from side to side and front to back.
Note: If necessary, use shims to make sure
there are no gaps between the base and the
floor to avoid cracking or warping the cast
iron.
