Going too fast in "R" (Reverse)
can be hazardous.
Going too fast in "R" (Reverse)
with override switch on can cause
a loss of control and accident
resulting in severe personal injury
or death.
Always maintain safe speed. Use
the override switch only if addi-
tional power is necessary.
Electric Starter Button 6
Use this button to turn the starter
motor. Before starting the engine, turn
the ignition switch to the "ON" position
and engine stop switch to the ""
position. Shift the shift lever to "N"
position. Push the electric starter but-
ton to start the engine.
NOTE: Wait more than one second
before pushing the electric starter but-
ton after turning on the ignition switch.
NOTE: The electric starter motor can
be operated in any gear if you
squeeze the rear brake lever fully
(you will hear the starter interlock
switch "click"). A starter interlock
switch prevents the starter motor from
turning when the transmission is in
gear if the rear brake lever is not
squeezed.
CAUTION
Engaging the starter motor for
more than five seconds at a time
can damage the ATV.
The starter motor and wiring har-
ness may overheat.
If the engine does not start after
several attempts, check the fuel
supply and ignition system. Refer
to the TROUBLESHOOTING sec-
tion in this manual.
