CLEANING PROCEDURE
A thorough cleaning of your ATV is a
necessary part of maintenance and
will help keep your ATV looking and
performing its best. Proper cleaning
can also extend the life of your ATV.
It is important to clean and inspect
your ATV after every ride if it is used
in mud, bush, grass, water, salt water,
or very dusty conditions.
The built-up of mud, bush, grass, etc,
especially on the engine and exhaust
system, can reduce engine cooling,
conceal damage, or increase wear of
certain parts. It is important to remove
all debris during cleaning.
 WARNING
Built-up mud and packed snow
around the rear brake pedal will be
hazardous.
Built-up mud and packed snow
will interfere with brake pedal
operation.
Clean the brake pedal and foot-
rests thoroughly after operating
vehicle. Check brake pedal opera-
tion before riding the vehicle.

PREPARATION FOR CLEANING

Wash the ATV before any mud dries
on the ATV.
Block or seal the end of the exhaust
pipe (muffler) using a piece of plastic
wrap, cloth rag or another method to
prevent water from entering the
engine.
CAUTION
High pressure washers and parts
cleaner can damage your ATV.
High pressure washers such as
those found at coin-operated car
washes have enough pressure to
damage the parts of your ATV. It
may cause rust, corrosion and
increase wear.
Do not use high pressure washers
to clean your ATV. Do not use
parts cleaner to throttle body and
fuel injection sensors.
