POSITIVE ZERO RETURN
FLOW DAMPING
Device Functions Proline t-mass 65 PROFIBUS DP
Use this function to interrupt the flow measurement variables. For example, the
output signal should be set to zero flow during operations such as pipe cleaning.
Options:
OFF
ON (signal output is set to zero flow value, temperature is as normal)

Note!
• All functions and outputs of the flowmeter react as if the flow value is zero.
• If the positive zero return is active, the notice message #601 "POS.ZERO-RET"
is displayed.
• The POSITIVE ZERO RETURN function can also be activated via PROFIBUS
Master (class 1) by means of the CONTROL_BLOCK module. For more
information please refer to the Operating Instructions BA113D/06/en/...
Use this function to enter a value for damping the measured flow and temperature
signals. The sensitivity of the flow measurement signal can be reduced with respect
to transient flows and interference peaks.

Factory setting:
1.0 s

The damping acts prior to other damping functions (e.g. display, time constant).
