5.2.4. Presence Switch

As on the original hardware, this switch boosts midrange and treble frequencies. Where the
hardware had a single setting, we have added two.
Air: Boosts high frequencies only.

Presence: Boosts mid and high frequencies.

The following graph visualizes the amount of boost for each mode at given frequencies:

♪ Because of the non-linear way in which vacuum tubes apply harmonic distortion, the Presence
switch will interact with the Drive, Bias, and Function knobs. The best thing to do is experiment!

5.3. Ammeter

In the Main Panel, Dist TUBE-CULTURE replicates the analog ammeter of the original
hardware. This shows the bias — again, the current in milliamps flowing into the distortion
tube. In the Advanced Panel
displays: input, output, and bias graphs; and a full-spectrum frequency analyzer.
